Medvedev in Kazakhstan for ‘reduced’ CIS summit

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has arrived in Kazakhstan for an informal summit of presidents of some CIS countries.
The meeting, which Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia are also attending, is being hosted by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev.
The summit will cover the global financial crisis and President's Medvedev's initiative for a new European security framework.
Russia and Kazakhstan have also approved their own partnership action plan for the next two years. It extends from deep underground to outer space covering oil, fuel, energy and economics as well as space exploration.
