Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev does not exclude his participation in presidential elections for the next term. But citizens should approve of his work first, the President said, speaking to a Norwegian newspaper.
The territory that speaks Russian and that has been unclaimed by other nations due to cold and conflict in other regions, has had a rough century that's only going further into the abyss. Stop listening to the other voices. Nobody cares about the moon but you. They only want the cheese. I don't care about the moon personally, but I care about what's going to happen if the moon isn't there, or if a monster eats it and we don't have anymore cheese.
I enjoyed reading this interview, he seems as a smart and good man. Will be interesting when he comes to visit Norway. Oh, and in case people didnt know: He likes 70's rock, like to take amateur photos, and keeps a teddybear in his office:)
I was never pro Medvedev but my views about his lack of experience were confirmed by his recent interview with RT. Medvedev can run again but Putin is key to Russia’s future until the nation recovers completely from effects of the collapse of the Soviet Union.I do not think Medvedev has the “pastoral overview” of Putin. Putin is also young. Putin was born in 1952, which means he is only 8 older than Obama. So, I do not know why people bring up age into this dynamics. Medvedev has some growing up to do. Of course, Putin is much hated by the West and we know why.
The most well known and influential Russian politician in the world is PM Vladimir Putin. He would be by far best candidate for president in 2012. President Medvedev wold make good PM. From RT; "Russian Prime Minister Putin has come in second as the world’s most influential politicians. Yahoo StumbleUpon Google Live Technorati del.icio.us Digg Reddit Mixx Propeller According to a poll conducted by the Harris International Service in a number of Western countries, Barack Obama leads with 82 per cent of the vote, while Vladimir Putin got 62 per cent. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev received 42 per cent in the poll, which was conducted in a representative sample of more than 6,000 people in five leading Western European countries"
I maintain what I wrote in a previous comment, a few months ago. After the START treaty signing and all the concessions made to Imperialist America and her NATO puppets. Mr Medvedev, seen from France, seems to be a nice and decent person, a little naive, but an excellent manager. Unfortunately, in the cynical, materialistic, actual World with deceitful leaders like N-PiPO (Obama), Sarkozy, Saakashvili and many others unworthy of respect and unpredictable, Russia needs a strong, energetic and feared Head of State. If that person did not exist, the actual president could stay; but you have that person, who during ten years has done a tremendous job for Russia and her peoples. The capitalists have done all that they could to make the actual Russian president acceptable Worldwide, using psychology, reverse-psychology and all their intellectual tricks to insure that the man that they fear stay out. As I said before, American laugh at weak peoples, they use them and throw them away at the first obedience's refusal. They only respect and deal correctly with strong minded person able to speak to them firmly, without concessions. Conclusions: I think that Mr Medvedev could be an excellent Premier Minister, under Mr Vladimir Putin's Presidency. I also believe that if an open referendum will take place in Russia to know who the people want as President, there will be no challenge: Mr Medvedev will loose. Sincerely... Jean-Claude Meslin
Putin will be president as of the next elections if he wants to be. It is really up to him. Medvedev deployed launchers to neutralize the Poland missile defense shield, and Medvedev ordered the invasion of Georgia. It is not as though he lacks a degree of decisiveness in his soul, even if he is less cynical than many other Russians are. Much of Putin's harsh tactics were predicated on the presumption that when he took office Russia was dangerously destabilized and needed a strong hand to put it back on stable footing. He largely achieved this during his reign, and he hand picked a man to succeed him who has pursued a humanitarian reform of the legal code, a more democratic form of Russian government, a transition towards a more diversified and internationally participated in economy, and an amicable face and flexible foreign policy abroad. I don't know a lot about Putin, but given the above perhaps it is plausible that Medvedev is doing precisely what Putin wants him to do, and therefore would not pursue the more cynical and harsh policies fellow commentators here seem to expect from him. From my vantage point, it seems like Putin sanctions Medvedev and his policies.
to American: first and foremost, you do need to get your narrative straight. It was not Russia thatt invaded Georgia in 2008; it was Georgia that ordered that murder of Russian peacekeepers and sleeping women and children in South Ossetia. Second, the strong and firm Russia’s military response was the only clear and unmistakable language which the U.S expansionists and NATO understood. It was also Putin who turned off the gas flow to Europe last winter because of U.S meddling in the Russian energy accord with Europe by using Ukraine as a `conduit. Both tactics had backfired on the U.S. So Vladimir Putin’s firm tactic is the only language NATO and the U.S imperialists understand and respect. As for Poland, the young and middle classes can see they can no longer invest their future with the sinking boat of the U.S empire. Thus, making pragmatic deals and warm relation with Russia are the result of organic evolution within the Polish society as much as that of a soft touch of President Medvedev.
President Medvedev is a good human being and the saying "know them by their fruits" is easily and effortlessly applied to him. No human being is perfect, no -not by any stretch of the imagination. BUT, we do the best we can should we be understanding of the words: "good human beings." Simply put, it's a do not do to others ... etc. President Medvedev applies this rule - where did any human being on the planet see, or when for that matter did the President act like a criminal? NO a resounding NO. The criminals who run America are not just dangerous ... they're insane. Prime Minister Putin is well aware of how insane this global one world takeover is and he needs a velvet glove with the iron fist. IT IS GREAT LEADERSHIP. When the yin/yang is in balance, it is trust. THANK THE RUSSIAN LEADERSHIP FOR BRINGING THE BEST BALANCE THAT CAN BE EXPECTED IN THIS TIME. Keep up the good work, the human beings of earth are counting on the Russians to lead us into greener pastures. Bless us all, everyone.
