I am sincerely hoping that President Medvedev has a lots of fun at the expense of these do-nothing smarty pants. Yes, there is plenty that can be done, plenty. And in the process, have a lots of fun. Of course you need resource concentration. But it can come from the already committed plans, to be diverted to a different way of doing things. And it must come from public-private partnership. And it in end, it will make Russia magnet for all business and educated elite, not to mention make life much more modern and happy. I have a pretty good idea that it can be done. But I am not aware of European-style modernization. What modernization? Europe has until recently profited from the superior economic position vs. countries of Asia, Africa and South America. And the internaional financial system was and still is rigged in its favor. Russia cannot go that way. The world cannot be recolonized again, and the Europe is seeking for a new ways to make themselves relevant in the new, post financial-bubble world. It seems to me that RT just cannot find anyone with any ideas. So, the only ones that get to be heard are those that riducule the country's leadership, without having an iota of idea of their own. Sounds like whining to me!

What is wrong with you, Russia? Haven't You had enough of those European experiments? Are You blind? May be it is time to stop and think little bit. And see, that all those experiments, which brought so much devastation to your lands, were originated in Europe. And You have been used as a test-bed for those "new" European ideas. May it is time to understand that the European "cloth" doesn't fit you? And may be it is time, finally, to understand, that Europe is not your best friend and honest partner. Europe hates You and it cares about You as long and as much as there is a one-way stream of wealth floating from your lands to the Western European capitals. Is there any national pride or self-respect? Or may be they [Europeans] are right when they look top-down at You and have doubts in your capabilities and ability for self-determination? Turn your face off Europe. Don't be so pathetic. Don't be afraid to go your own way. Not European, not Chinese,... Let Russian people to decide the way they want to live. What? Another experiment? May be. But, at least, it will be your own idea and your own experiment. For the first time. And stop talking all the time, please. Just to something practical. May be something useful will come out of it. Stop thinking and talking about which Models to follow. Just live life...

Bianca has all wrong; many comments toward Russia and her leaders (mostly Mr Putin) are positive. If she had read the many topics that I have commented for quiet some times, she would have noticed than I have, many times suggested than Russia does her economic and structural revolution at her own pace and not become, like us, occidentals, inslaved by money and excessive consumering. Consequently, I dream for her to become the best possible example that Humanity so desperatly needs. Naturally, that will request the necessity to speak more firmly to other leaders, to face a few disturbing facts (like excessive military spending) and change some priorities. Russians have the intellectual potential to do quiet well on their own but, in this World no-one is an island... Sincerely...Jean-Claude Meslin

They are already having a blast. I guess I should do equal and come on over to sell some arms. Your ordinary can't be different from any other ordinary. Faith and love, right? In order for this to work, God must always be enlightened, like President Lincoln was. Is he? You know, our founding fathers never thought that this whole setup was going to work out, they needed an excuse to breakaway. They must be rolling in their graves right about now.
