Russian bureaucrats may be reduced by 20%

President Dmitry Medvedev has instructed the Russian government to prepare proposals on cutting the number of officials by 20%, following which it will be decided if such measures would be appropriate.

President Dmitry Medvedev will soon be able to monitor on-line how his orders are being executed by officials, his aide Konstantin Chuichenko has said.

Mr. President, this is good idea but first you need to wire the whole country and that will allow for you and your assistants to gain multiple sources of information. I think in the short run you need to use strong law and order tactics to keep people honest.
