An address to the citizens by the Russian President via the Internet could be a key point in creating a completely new political system – the Internet democracy.
Estonia has had e-government and e- much of everything else for about a decade, and is one of the most computer-savvy countries of Europe. If consulted, I imagine they would happily share the benefit of their experience with Russia. However, the little matter of Russian pride might get in the way of such an arrangement.
The future.
There must be a progressive population reduction throughout the world. Automatism and accelerated amortization will need , on an increasing population , an ever increasing indebtedness ( see the accelerating collapses of the western stock exchanges since the 1970 with the consequential printing of worthless money - US Dollar ) and, therefore, a reduction in production is a must. " Production for use and not ( unsustainable ) profit ". It follows reliance on scientific development. That's all. Triste

Go for it, let's innovate. I would love a site I can log onto, see a range of policies, with two advocates outlining the pros and cons. Then a further piece of advice outlining constitutional and human rights implications of the policies. A site that I can then vote on to show my approval for each policy. The vote could just be a public recommendation, with a record of how much the government is following them, updated on the site. Then it becomes clear to the people over time whether they are being listened to. We add the peoples party into the equation, rather than relying solely on parties with vested interests doing their traditional ideological marketing rants. Obviously such a site should allow people to introduce the skeleton of a policy; if enough support is gained form teh public, then the civil servants need work it up to a full blown policy for full consideration. Wow governement for the people, isn't that democracy. Let Europe eat cake, with coffee from their expensive brussels coffee machines, of course!
