I hope the Russian government won't use this attack for further tightening people's liberties and increasing state control, or even worse... I hope they won't use this incident just as the American government uses 9/11...

how does the American government use 9/11? i'm sure the Russian government will try to do just what is necessary to keep these animals from harming further. it's ludicrous to equate the govt. trying to save lives with taking away peoples liberties and increasing state control.

Dear Luba! I too want those criminals be brought to justice, BUT... does the Patriot Act, the occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq ring a bell? Do you think that it is ludicrous that a free person can be detained indefinitly without ever being charged or that a democraticly elected government can be overthroughn even without the approval of the UN Security council? Oh, if it would be so simple - terroritsts (kill civilians) = bad guys, goverment (protect civilians) = good guys!!! But it isn't like that! Don't you see that the government is using (if not even creating!) this abstract phenomenon (called WAR ON TERRORISM) as a means to rally the population (by fear) against any domestic and foreign policy they chose!
