As always, Israel conducts a duplicitous policy regarding its relations with other countries. The nuclear issue is too important for the world to let Israel get away with ambiguity. Secondly, the claim of Israeli President Shimon Peres defies all logic. His proclaimed policy of not returning the Golan Heights on the pretext that the area will be used by Syria, or Hamas, or Hezbollah, or any other entity to attack Israel is preposterous. The reason offered for not returning the occupied lands leads us to conclude that Israel must occupy the whole world in order to feel secure. Well, nobody feels secure in the Middle East with Israel armed to its teeth and supported unconditionally by the United States. On the other hand, Mr. Peres might be right. If you turn the whole world into your enemy, where do you run to feel safe?

Well said armen08...I dont believe that nuke-free Middle East is posible.I like idea about World without nukes but its utopia and nothing more.As always true history big powers never respected laws.Duble standards are common things.Against Israel(with 250 plus nukes) there is many UN resolutions and yet nothing is done.Palestinians are modern "indians" with 5,5 millions refuges and with stolen state in front of "democratic" world eyes.No sanctions was ever in place for that.On other hand peacefull nuclear use in Iran (no one proof otherways) is in the "world"spotlite. Why is that, that someone as West wich is responsible for (almost)any genocide and war on this planet(from times of slavery till today) can have power to kill innorcent around the world and those who are in danger can not have nothing to protect themselfs? There is no justice in this world but opressed nations will in the end(and no power will stop that)have tools to correct this unjustice.Israel shall pull back on 1967(world do recognise you in this borders) ,give back all stolen Palestine land and return G.Heights to rightful owner Siria and make a peace......Thanke you.

I have to laugh at all these "PRO" Russian governmnet people here on these forums. It was just announced that Syria is buying BILLIONS of weapons from Russia and they are channeling the "foregin" aid from the USA as Syria is in the top 5 when it comes to "foreign" aid! So, Russia wants to be in South, Central, Latin America, and all of Africa, yet when the USA establ;ishes friendships with Georgia and Ukraine, all the "PRO" Russians want to start World War 3 with the USA! Talk about "DOUBLE" standards all YOU Russian lovers! I can't wait for O'Bama to leave office and for the USA to install a hard liner in the office.
