Precisely Iran is the Southern Link of any Eurasian Common Market between Russia and Central Asia, apart from being the Door to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. So, in any Eurasian initiative Iran is essential. If just the reformist Rafsanjani has won the Elections in Iran things probably would be different now and Iran would be thinking more about Trade and Economic development than about War. The same way Peru becomes the Port of Brazil to China, Iran will become the Port of Russia and Central Asia to the Indian Ocean...
