Georgian people are at the momqent probably not aware how dificult are the times that are just ahead of them. In my view, after a few decades will have past it is a question just how much of Georgians will remain to feel sorry for the moves made in our time. Georgia joining NATO is a very serious move that will surely be met with quite adequate measures from the Russian side. No one in Georgia shouldn't have any doubts about that.

Only way to have security for Georgia is to become NATO country, as Russia is doing everything to destroy development in Georgia and is currently occupying by force Georgian territories only way for Georgia is to become as distant from Russia as it can . Russian policy is to not have success story in Georgia so other soviet countries will not follow the development path if not joining NATO- Georgia will never be secured otherwise. It has nothing to do with Saakashvili, in general 90% of population is pro or not against joining the NATO, it is Georgian peoples will and decision and Russia will not be able to reverse this path, it is obvious that Georgia is much more developed country than any other in former Soviet Union within its reforms and all its parameters. When Georgia will become NATO country and I hope soon, Caucasus region will be much more stable than it is today, concerning Iran I would like to emphasize that Iran has much better neighboring relation with Georgia than Russia and in General all neighboring countries to Georgia have much better relation with Georgia than with Russia.
