President Medvedev has signed a decree on establishing Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and submitted a draft law on the new crime-fighting body to the State Duma, the parliament’s lower house.

What was wrong with the old KGB?,or have the found that being democratic has more personal benefits .PS Democracy today is corrupt,most democratic (Conservative or Right wing)politicans are self centered and more interested in what financial benefits they can accummuliate.Well my opinion anyway.
