North Korea Memorial Day greetings

When the news junkies were busily familiarizing themselves with the unfolding Talibanization of Pakistan, North Korea has suddenly resurfaced from obscurity with a big bang, says RT military analyst Eugene Khrushchev.
NK have now threatened "a powerful military strike" against SK and have indicated that they no longer feel bound by the 1953 armistice. Such an act following nuclear and rocket/missile tests seems close to suicide. Whilst the USA has difficulty fighting insurgents on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan, they would have no difficulty in destroying NKs nuckear, military and administrative facilities from the air. The threat of nuclear attack on SK that might follow some initial military incursion by NK would be ample justification for the US to retaliate with the same ferocity seen in Iraq - a relatively wealthy country with an integrated air defense system that was wiped out in two days. Also, unlike the 1950s, NK cannot expect support from Russia and may not even be able to count on China's support, other than strong words at the UN. China has recently shown signs of annoyance with the NK regime and has to contend with a constant stream of desparate NK refugees, together with the crime associated with people trafficking and illegal immigrants. The NK regime seems completely out of touch with reality.
UN? What UN? Let this organization do something about the actual catastrophies being petpetrated on the peoples of Asia and the Middle, then have the moral authority to criticize a country that is doing nothing but asserting its sovereign rights. The hypocritical righteousness of the Western powers fools nobody, even if they claim to speak on behalf of the "world community." They have deceived every country they have engaged with, North Korea many times over. Let them fulfil their part of the contract, so scrupulously concealed in their pronouncements, then have the right to ask North Korea to do the same. The time for bullies to have their way is gone. Any country unjustly bedeviled and sanctioned by the powers that have shown absolutely no sense for human justice for hundreds of years has the right to defend itself against this unmitigated onslaught. Let's not forget that it was NOT the USA, but North Korea that was leveled with unsparing carpet-bombing in the Korean War of the early 50's. The United States--and any power for that matter--has no reason to fear from a North Korean aggression. The aggressor states are very well known by the peoples of the world.
