One thing about Mr. Putin, he is honest and talks straight from the shoulder. To digress, Reagan was in power at the collapse of the USSR. He gave respect to Gorbachev and the Russian people. Bush Sr, who Reagan hated, was the one calling for "a new world order". He envisioned himself heading it. The world thought that the USA was that benevolent country that it use to be. Mr. Putin caught on and Russia realizes it needs a defensive posture. Considering that communism was financed in Russia from the beginning in the US, Mr. Putin's actions are very important to a free world. I for one am putting a lot of hope in him.

Only george w. bush could look into lladimer putins eyes and get a feel for his soul. Premier putin has proven far too complicated for most people to have evan a hint of what makes him tick. He is the ultimate leader and hero to the Russian people. Apparently he has done great things in the eyes of the average citizen and every country needs a leader who is more revered than a rock star. So, if you are Russian, "keep rootin for putin".
