Great person!

A really nice straight forward inerview, with a person getting on with their life, but with the awareness of the environment around them. Really nice to see a different perspective without an ideaological agenda, it was a person speaking. She talks of being at home in Russia, and while we have all felt like this, no matter what Russia has been like, there is now an added comfort with being home. The stability is there in the narrow definition of things being predictable and unchanging over a set period of time. We are evolving, and it is not perfect yet, but in comparison with chaos and collapse, we are in a completely different league. Yes there is a lack of general prosperity, but she realises that this has to come from enabling our people, by giving them a space and opportunities to realise themselves. Germany is always a good comparison, Germany is a great country, with a very good set up. If there was one country I would be happy for us to mimic for a period it would be Germany, they do have the right, workmanlike attitude, they have the correct social and cultural approach. Not all things are for us, but overall they are a very good stake in the ground as a benchmark. In terms of culture yes we have it, and yes we should promote it, however, on this topic she falls back to promoting her stock and trade, which is a little bit of an agenda. I would love to see Russian culture developed and exported, and it certainly needs to be done, and is something we have to offer the world. However, the reality is that the receiving audience may be far smaller than expected, because the reality is that the simpler culture does tend to appeal to the youth. So yes we need to offer it as a differentiator, but don't be too surprised that it is not universally accepted, even though it will be adhored by some. Everyone is entitled to do and promote their thing.
