Israeli mother: ‘I want my Palestinian kids back!’

The recent fighting in Gaza tore many families apart, but for one mother it offered the hope of being reunited with her three children who were left behind in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

Gaza tunnel network back to life

In southern Gaza merchants are busy rebuilding a complex network of underground tunnels used to bring in goods from neighbouring Egypt. Many of the passages were destroyed or badly damaged during the Israeli offensive.

Sky News join BBC in rejecting Gaza charity appeal

The UK-based Sky News channel has followed the BBC in refusing to broadcast a pro-Gaza fundraising appeal. The international broadcaster said it did not want to be seen as taking sides in the Israel-Hamas dispute.

Hamas’ efforts to break the Israeli siege of the Gaza Strip by firing rockets into Israel not only triggered this month’s Israeli air and ground attack, but has also led to an even tighter siege.
