President Dmitry Medvedev has summed up the results of the first ever nationwide discussion of a draft Law on the Police and vowed to consider most crucial amendments suggested by Russian citizens.

You should pay them more because they are civil servants and shouldn't have to leech off of the people they protect because then they will be working for other agendas. I mean, you can usually provide their income with either low paid entry position that eventually go away and/or do what my street did and post a no U-Turn sign where it's very inconvenient to not do the U-Turn. Therefore, you get a bunch of funds for nothing.
