On Saturday the Russian President hosted the leaders and activists of the United Russia party at his Zavidovo presidential retreat. The gathering took place just a day after the State Duma convened for its last session before the parliamentary election on
The President summed up the performance of the lower house of parliament and outlined the goals it needs to achieve in the future.
“I want to congratulate all the deputies of the State Duma at the end of their tenure – not only United Russia members but even those who never voted ”for“. Out of disagreement comes the truth. Over 1,000 laws were passed and over two thirds of those were submitted by United Russia,” the President said.
