It is not polite to intrude in Russian politic, being a foreigner; but your country could have a tremendous influence on the future World governance. Mr Medvedev look like being a nice fellow. He is first of all a businessman. We have seen how easily the former US secretary of state and Obama have put that man in their pocket. The Georgian events were a provocations' test and a way to tell Saakashwili that America will not support all his craziness. The imperialists goal has not changed: they want the full control of all Earth natural resources and Russia is their last "Eldorado"; this is the real power (Peoples; even their own, they don't care). To stop that hegemony, Russia and all important nations need strong leadership capable to tell America a few facts (as I have explained in several other comments). We must help her own people to wake-up and take the appropriate measures. Charles De Gaulle and Vladimir Putin, so far have been the only leaders feared and respected by America's leaders who mock and use with delight weak peoples. Mr Medvedev must step aside or become Premier Minister... On the negative side: Last year Mr Putin talked a lot about reducing the Russians' drinking problem. All alcohols ' price have increased ; but during my three months stay in Orenburg, I picked up more empty bottles and saw more drunks peoples than the previous year. It seems to me that like here in France, your decisions makers talk a lot but have not yet understood that to eradicate alcoholism, the only way to do it is to produce less and less alcohol... Nevertheless I wish for Mr Putin to be your next president...Best Regards...Jean-Claude Meslin

For whatever the capacity, it is clear that Putin’s active presence in Russian politics is a bad news for those who want to weaken Russia and very good news for those of us who want to see Russia achieves the next phase of its path to social, cultural, economic and defense recovery and progress.

There is no subject worldwide able to match Russia: politically transforming her huge size under the single pretext – to carry on her sovereignty. The very size of the task triggers the need of her religious energy. Russia will ultimately express herself only as unpredictable actuality of fascinating power. To run Russia – one should meditate impossible. Not before Putin this mind was clearly manifested and personalized. Personalized without definition. This incredible political domain is the name of true sovereignty. The inner value of this solution is politically new. It stresses the force of the government and does not rely on the voting, which dissipates the valuable public energy. Let’s guess: it is more likely Putin is going to add Lavrov to the inner stability, than to focus on exchanging position with Medvedev. He will probably make a team – which is not team at all. Besides it is not a set of three individuals either. The world will be watching Russia as the engine producing the shift of the whole past tradition toward the ocean of future. We call it Putin brand.

I think neither of them will run for president, they will ask someone else to do the honours. Possibly Mr Sechin?

I think Putin is best at internal matters. He is not as strong as Medvedev in international affairs. Putin is good at "hitting people on the head" to get their attention. Medvedev is far better at business planning for Russia, where Putin has no idea where to go. Russia needs a more modern President, such as Medvedev, to move it into modernization.

Yes, Niclai, you are absolutely right. Eventhough Medvedev seems to be a good guy, I feel that he is selling Russia to US and Israel. Just for having the opportunity to eat a very greasy hamburger with Obama, he is willing to soften his position regarding the terrible American foreign policy. What the world sees now is US getting closer and closer to Russian borders and Medvedev doesn't seem to notice it. Russia and China will be the ultimate icing on the cake for the US and I think Putin will be the man to stop US. The Israeli Minister of Defense, Barak, visited Russia to try and prevent a sale of arms to Syria. So far, we haven't heard anything but Barak got a big sale for drones. Syria, Lebanon, Iran have the right to defend themselves against any military agressions by the US and Israel. By not selling defensive equipments to these nations is denying them the right to defend themselves. Russia has to be fair.

A country can go to ruin very quickly if the wrong person is elected as president. It is not the person who gets elected but what the winner will be capable of doing for the country and the people. If a president has tunnel vision and is totally inflexible the country would do better leaving the office vacant and working without a president. A president should be well liked but does not need to be a rock star. COMPETENCE AND MORAL AUTHORITY IS A MUST FOR A SUCCESSFUL PRESIDENT. The first thing I would ask about a candidate for president is what is the chance this candidate, if elected, will get the country into a war or keep the country at war.

I really hope and pray that Mr. Putin becomes Russia's president yet once again in 2012. President Medvedev seem very weak and easily manipulated by America. He seems star struck with Obama. He is not a true leader by any stretch. Putin is a real man and leader who know's the tricks and deception from America and Israel. He will be the only hope for Russia's future and the world balance of power which America wants all to herself with bases all over the world. Please run for president Mr. Putin! Russia needs a real president that can stop the arrogance of the U.S.
