Mr Putin can come over to our parliment(UK) and say the same thing, but include the words for the last 3 centuries, what have you been doing for the people,or say you been looking after the privelege class only.

Rant? It sounds like Mr. Putin asked some very rightful questions.

NATO's last hope are the double agents. Treason from within has always been the key to success, at least until these days.

Great Job, Mr.President Putin!. I wish the US President had a serious talk like this with his cabinet members.

We need leaders like Putin looking out for the common good! Where have the men gone?

…a frozen moment or true Russian ability to fix the eye of time…to start at the center of things. Medvedev is on completion of the full range of parties and Putin demanding operational discipline before setting the fleet to overload. Where is Russia heading? Nowhere, she is to stay – as always. It takes all inner reserves not to let “Russian arc” to make last dance again and walk out the pride of the own funeral down the streets of flowing history. What an experience! Missing anything for launching? Nothing – having only our weak blessing. All we have… So, what’s about God? He’s only asking – “Why are you silent?”

I don't know how much Putin is good for democracy or world peace, but I get the sense that he is standing up for the everyday Russian. The powerless. Viva Putin. I am an American and I think Vlad is the real deal. So is Obama.

The President of the USA likes his cabinet and he has just the kind of losers he wants there. What could we Americans expect from a man who refuses to provide a certified copy of his birth certificate . You know the kind of birth certificates EVERY other American has to provide in order to get a passport or a driver's license in most American states now. Putin is a real man and a real leader, the USA does need a real MAN as President.

Oh, I don't know. If you look at the video of that cabinet meeting on his website, it looks like he was teasing them. A couple of deputy ministers were smiling. Given their hectic schedule this past week, I'd be willing to bet they were working some 16-20 hour days. Check out the pictures here: http://www.premier.gov.ru --- it looks like he was having between 3 and 6 meetings each day. And every time he goes to a meeting, probably a dozen people have to arrange it and follow-up on what was said and hold other meetings to coordinate everything. We should check for bags under their eyes, because they probably haven't had much sleep.

Theatrics are always much easier than introducing systematic reforms to pre-empt and remedy problems. Russia’s continuing debilitating levels of corruption are the direct result of a failure to make genuine systemic reforms in taxation, financial and criminal legislation, and state regulatory and enforcement agencies. Putin asks what has his cabinet done for the Russian people this week? We may equally ask what has Putin done for the Russian people throughout the entirety of his public life since he left the employ of the KGB/FSB to ensure that new totalitarian horrors can never again be worked against them? Of all the millions who were murdered and enslaved and abused by the Soviet State all the way to 1991, not one single Russian who committed these crimes against humanity has ever had to answer for his actions in a Russian court of law. This sets an absolutely devastating shadow for future generations of Russians to have to live under. The precedent has been firmly been set that the Russian State can murder, imprison, repress and abuse its people at will, and no one will ever have to answer for their actions. I would hate to have my family and its future generations live under such a sinister cloud.

Sometimes one gets the impression that RT does not really LIKE Putin very much and one wonders why not. "Vicious rant" ??? That is obvous nonsense and perhaps intentionally misleading. WHY? Sometimes RT, you seem far too much like the Western press and far too fond of slanting the news. If you want the best for Russia you will not do this and you will be more honest in your reporting. Have Peter Lavelle do more - he IS honest. As for the person who thinks that the Obama person is anything like Putin - please! They could not be more different. Mr. Putin is straight. He also cares for ordinary people.

I would hope Mr. Putin would be a strong leader for the sake of democracy in Russia! Or you may have hundreds of "paper stallions" as we have in the United States!

i don't see how anyone can compare Putin and Obama. They are complete opposites. If Putin wants a table painted red on tuesday, it will be painted red on tuesday. If Obama wants a table painted red on tuesday, he will give 10 speeches on why it should be painted red, he will give his best speech to Congress, who will vote against the proposal, and at the end of the day, it will not be painted at all.

I only wish we could for once have a real leader like Mr. Putin here in the U.S. Now, we have a president keeps showing how little he knows about and cares about us, the real people.
