Putin's party wins by a landslide - it's official

United Russia gets majority in Parliament

Russia's Central Election Commission has announced the official results of last Sunday's parliamentary election. The United Russia party secured a landslide victory with 64.3 per cent of the vote. Altogether, four parties made it to the lower House of Par

The United Russia party won 315 out of 450 seats, giving it a huge majority.
 
The Communist party won 57 seats with 11.57 per cent of the ballots.
 
The Liberal Democratic Party secured 40 seats in parliament with 8.14 per cent.
 
The Fair Russia party, slightly behind, took 38 seats with 7.74 per cent.
