Kevan Harris, from John Hopkins University, told RT that a conflict between Israel and Iran could push the Middle East region back by decades in terms of development.
If Israel attacks Iran, Israel will surely be destroyed before America can react. Then it becomes a question of does America want to risk an all out conflict with Russia and China and India. May calmer heads prevail.
This concerns me. Israel would NEVER engage in unjustified aggression against any country, much less Iran. Israelis fully understand the consequences they would receive in the media, which would affect their waning international support, as well as encourage terrorists living right at the State of Israel's borders. However, Israel is very likely to make some kind of quick attack against Iran in the occasion that, for example, Iran is on the verge of creating a nuclear weapon, in order to neutralize the threat. We have to remember that Iran's official policy right now in regards to Israel is to "wipe it off the map". If Russia or China--two countries which generally have a very positive and noninterventionist foreign policy these days--intervened, we could see a lot of people put in very serious danger, and not a single worthwhile reason for it.
I don’t believe that even if Iran had a nuclear weapon, that they would be crazy enough to use it against Israel. I also don’t believe Israel’s purported motivation, this need to defend itself against invisible weapons of mass destruction, is legitimate, in fact I think after the vanishing WMD’s in Iraq, its an insult to our intelligence. Iran could probably buy a nuclear weapon and take overnight delivery of it, if they really wanted one. What worries me most of all is that the currencies competing are never reported by any news media which is more than strange, after all, it’s the reason for the financial crisis and all these conflicts, and when you realize that they both controlled by the same people, it gets even more bizarre. This posturing is mostly for the publics benefit, and if initiated would result in very large-scale conflict and global geo-economic repositioning. In short I don’t think there would be much left of Israel, the USA, Russia, India and China. Brussels however would still be working just fine ;) I’m more than cynical, and every time I see an “Israeli” spokes person running this tired tape, the only thing I’m sure of, is that he doesn’t give a damn about Israeli’s. Possibly this crazy world has made me a little paranoid, it could just be the chess player in me talking, but this game smells very much like superpower reset. I hope leaders in these respective countries are awake, after all this exact game has been played once before.
The Wall Street fat cats who really run America, are saying on tv that unless Iran agrees to end enrichment by Spring 2010, they will be bombed by Israel. Obama has said several times that, "Time is running out." Presidents don't talk like that for no reason, so the USA might join in on the Iran bombing to destroy as much as possible. A new US superbomb is being rushed into mass production. The B-2 bombers are being modified to carry the huge new bombs. These bombs aren't being built to drop on pickup trucks full of terrorists in Pakistan. Stockpiling canned food and fuel, might not be a bad idea. Saying 'off the map' was a BIG mistake. Remember, after the horrors of the Holocaust, the Jews vow, 'Never again.' That doesn't mean that they won't be victimized again. That is beyond their control. It means that that they will do everything in their power to prevent it from happening again. Since the Brazilian President and Chavez have both recently exchanged cordial visits with the Iranian election stealer, it will be interesting to see how they will come to the aid of their new found friend. Will they try to open up another front by attacking Columbia, a close American ally? That could be the start or the first large, destructive modern war with mass casualties fought in South America. Will a second front cause others to take advantage of American weakness elsewhere. After all, the American industrial base is virtually gone, with most manufacturing having been outsourced to China by the multinationals so as to maximize their profit. Many countries all over the globe have scores to settle. Many covet nearby natural resources. Think how WW I started with an assassination. People soon took sides. 'Off the map', might just end up starting WW III, which will probably be the last one for quite some time. Unlike in the past, even Wall Street will lose this time. Although the American taxpayers will then never get their money back.
Rationality isn't 'up there' for the 'Chosen Ones', sorry to say :(

Talk like this, worries the hell out of me, I get this, “here the world goes again”, feeling. What bothers me greatly is that all the news stations are now reporting Iran as a “possible” nuclear threat, but little is said if anything about the oil bourse currency. For those that don’t know what I’m waffling on about google for “The War To Save The U.S. Dollar” which will explain what “black gold” actually means to a global currency. Iran is on the Euro. I’ll just say this to Russia and China (and the USA)… if you let Israel attack Iran, you had better be absolutely sure you understand the real game. I’m of the opinion that the wolves are attacking the wounded tiger, and no one has noticed the snake that bit the tiger in the first place. Or another way of saying this is that you maybe kicking the dying virus host to death, and not noticing that you have now contracting the infection. Don’t let Israel attack Iran ever… full stop… because these analysts don’t know what the hell they talking about, remember they also went blind to a financial crisis, that no one could possibly have missed coming. Last time myopic leaders did something this stupid… we ended up calling it WWII. Ask yourself this question, if the USA disappeared from the face of the earth, would this world work… the answer is no… a much bigger correction is needed, don’t be fools!
