Is this the Japan vision, acquisition of land in any manner? Should China, Korea, etc. give Japan some of the land it originally took in the 1930s? Should the United States make a gesture of giving Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Cuba, etc. back to Spain? Should the United States give back to Russia what is called Alaska, if the documents were vague? This land of Russia being these islands has been in this existence for more than 60 years. Japan keeps trying to open this door of history! If this door of history is allowed to be opened and expanded upon, what is next, for war has consequences? Japan was shown great mercy in World War Two even after having committed so many atrocities. The Emperor’s lands were never damaged and it was allowed to remain a sovereign nation. – Beware when humility is lost and pride is gained for the “onshore” wind may bring a “rising sun”. If this door of history is even left open a bit, are we to see a Falkland Island situation, for the Japanese Defense Force is one of the strongest armies in the world now! Will we awake one morning to the sound of Tora, Tora on the western border of Russia? Beware the ides of 1905! I can only speculate but it is reported the United States and Britain did some of their chemical and biological warfare program testing on islands to the west or northwest of their main land mass. Did Russia follow this “common sense” theory to protect their mainland? If so, it seems these islands would be the best place to have done so. Could there inadvertently be a surprise waiting if anyone should try to take these islands by force? One can read of how Russia slowed/stopped the similar atrocities of the Nazis just outside of Moscow. Good luck to all………….
