Correction to the story. The Abkhazian separatists and Russian "volunteers" and mercenaries supported by Russia militarily, politically, and financially fought a war against the Georgian state, committed ethnic cleansing against 50% of the local population (predominantly ethnic Georgians) and succeeded in their war crimes. After Russia invaded Georgia in August 2008, Kremlin formally admitted its support of Georgia's breakaway regions by "recognizing independence". Kremlin, like the USSR is trying to fool the entire world, particularly Russian citizens. I feel Kremlin will keep doing this until the country implodes again. The worst enemy of Russian state is the current political leadership.
