me and many Serbs want to join Russia, and not Germany in the EU. We dont want EU money, we want our brothers.

After a period of little less than two decades Russia has finally come back to restore its strong influence in those regions that traditionally belong to her. The Serbs have hardly succeeded to survive that Russian self-closeness, so that the level of exaltation in Belgrade is now tremendous over President Medvedev's visit. Tens of thousands of Belgraders (if not even hundreds of them) have spontaneously gathered around the road that leads from the airport to the center of the city waiting to salute President Medvedev, but unfortunately they were not allowed to come close to the road as the security measures were at the highest level. I feel as if Russia has just loudly announced that it came back to step by its foot onto what traditionally belongs to her and that is extremely good news for all Serbs. It should be noted that Serbian leading authorities have been almost openly threatened by some western media (die Welt) and politicians that they need to restrict their relations with Russia if they want to be considered for the EU membership, but such demands were gallantly refused. I an positive about the following: if Serbs would be faced against dilemma "Russia or EU", they would all uniquely reply "bye bye to EU". Russia and Serbia, these two Orthodox Slavic nations with nearly the same language, should always stick together (no one really needed translation for what President Medvedev articulately talked in Serbian Parliament). Hope that President Putin will find an empty space in his schedule to come to Belgrade too.

I agree, many Serbs want to be in union with Russia, and not in EU. We were raised that way, to believe in Russia, to love Russia. My heart was full, and hearts from most of Serbs when we saw our president Bear's son. I wanted to shout somthing, to scream so Russia could hear about our love to MATI.

Hold your horses people! I'm Serb like you and I see all this only as SYMBOLIC return of Russia to part of the Balkans. Perhaps winning hearts of some naive Serbs who were expecting (promised) Western help. And now they see big Russian investment (South Stream) and Russian 1billion $ credit instead! Perhaps if South Stream works out and kicks away Nabucco,... that will be first step as concrete re establishing of Russia in Balkans. Only when NATO leaves Kosovo and Russian soldiers take place of USA soldiers in Bondsteel military base in Kosovo we will be able to talk of "coming back" of Russia to Serbia. For the moment Serbia is but OCCUPIED country whose puppet government wants to join membership to its OCCUPATION(!) army - NATO. I hope that Serbia will join Russia and Belarus in CIS one day...

I am a Russian at heart, I don't believe in "Serb." We came from Russia, we speak a version of Russian and have the same culture, so we are Russian.

When are you Srpskas going to stop brown-nosing up to the West? Surely the debacles in the Krajina, Bosnia, and Kosovo , not to meition the pitiful excuse of a presentation of the posthumous Legion of Merit to Mihailovich's daughter Gordana ought to show you what the score is by now. How have you forgotten about asymmetric warfare? Get real and get a life.

In defense of Mabuballah, I would just like to repeat his question: "When are you going to stop brown nosing?" Was that so complicated to answer?
