I do not believe that the US will put military bases in Georgia. Are there a few whose own self interest would benefit from this? Yes, but the vast majority of Americans want there to be cooperation and warm relations between the US and Russia. The cold war has been over for 20 years and nobody wants it to ever return to an era of unnescessary conflits and wasted opportunities for mutual prosperity and peace. There is far to much to be gained by working together and partnering in business, the growing of the world enconomy, trade, security and working to improve the quality of life for all .

Three MORE bases? Where are they going to "shoe-horn" them in? They already had about a dozen airbases, military depots, etc. in that little country last year. Maybe they will be small bases, perhaps the size of a city block? This can only come from the fevered mind of Dick Cheney. He wants Georgia to be bristling with munitions, in the hopes that Saakashvili will start another war.
