Yushchenko and Saakashvili are two good reasons for keeping the old Soviet Union together. Some nations, like Georgia and the Ukraine, are a big and complicated mess without the guidance and leadership of Russia. I favour a Pro-Russian and Tymoshenko alliance in the Ukraine.

How can European-Union, NATO and the USA support an ukrainian president so unpopular, destroying his own country. Ukraine, Georgia Poland and some other eastern-bloc countries corrupted association with America and the USA' manipulation of those countries are the proofs that there is absolutly no sincerity in that new US president. He does exactly what all his predecessors have done, since Jonhson: OBEY to America's real masters. The Nobel Peace Price given to such a machiavelic comedian was an insulte to mankind's intelligence. Best Regards...Jean-Claude Meslin

Yushchenko feuded with Russia to the detriment of his nation. Then, Saakashvili decided to embark on a war with Russia - also to the detriment of his nation. I hope the Balts are smart enough to realize the folly of feuding with Russia.

Norman, The Soviet Union collapsed from its own inadequacies, and such a system should never be reconstituted. There is a new era ahead for the Russian people without the burdens of the past. Georgians and Ukrainians are quite capable of handling their own affairs without "the guidance and leadership of Russia". The problems of these two nations did not come from Russia, they are the result of American meddling and scheming.
