It's a hoax. Leave it to Mr. Medvedev. Forget Copenhagen. The SCIENCE itself is a pretext for inaction.

The only thing they've proven is they don't know anything about the intricate workings of climate and have since shown endless scandals involving politicized scientists caught lying about data. Yet, politicians are eager to change things and line their pockets with gold. Ignoring everything and just doing it because the politics have been set in action is just plain idiotic. This area of Medvedev's politics gives him the biggest thumbs down in my book.

I always laugh when I hear the "climate scientists" say "right now is the warmest it has been in 500,000 years and we know this from our ice core samples that go back that far." First you have to believe that the ice cores go back that far and that their analysis is correct (when they can't predict even tomorrow's weather); Secondly, compared to the age of the Earth 500,000 years is nothing. The Earth is 5,000,000,000 years old. The 'scientists' are basing their conclusion on 1/10,0000th of the data! Put another way, they know 1/100 of one percent of the data. Third, other science has told us that the Earth was much warmer in other periods such as the time of the dinosaurs, where were the SUVS then? Fourth, I have never heard them talk about ground temperature. Science tells us the center of the Earth is molten and we know from evidence that as we start to dig down into the Earth it gets warmer...so I wonder, does the Earths core temperature vary? Fifth, every time they find data that does not fit their conclusion they search for ways to make it fit instead of adjusting their conclusion. Anyway, this is all my opinion on the matter, I never hear these things questioned. It is a shame that Russia also is starting to bite on this sham. Thanks, Brian.

No mention is made of the Pliocene epoch 2-5million years ago when temperatures were on average 2C higher than to-day. That era was of course followed by? , the last glacial age...Pleistocene era. When I attended school I was taught that the ice age was forecast

All future predictions are by computer modelling, which in itself is unreliable. As for predicting the weather 50 years on, it can not even be predicted 1 year on. I have spent the last year in the UK,according to forecasters, using latest up to date technology the weather for the UK last summer was forecast as going to be a "Barbeque summer" it rained and was one of the wettest, this winter was forecast as going to be mild and wet, According to media, January was the coldest month since records began in 1914, and snow has been the heaviest amd most prolonged for 35 years. I was told by friends it never snowed in South England

It is a great pity Putin does not take notice of his own scientist who predicted the Freezing Winter Weather in the Northern Hemisphere. Putin does not have to do anything. Here in Australia it is all about money using the Carbon Currency Taxes to get it.

Who said that the ice core data are wrong. Vostok-1 says that during every interglacial period the temperature higher by 1-3 degrees centigrade than today's. During the Eemian period it was 18 degrees centigrade for 10000 years while today's is 15.35 degrees centigrade. During the Holocene, 11000 years ago we had at least 5 major climatic changes. Since 1659 until to day, based on mercury thermometers data from Met Office in UK we had 4 times climatic changes.
