Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu: “On the other hand resolution called on Russia to put an end to climate of impunity and negative atmosphere over there. It also called on the Russian Federation to fight terrorism within the line of human rights and the Council of Europe values that Russia shares.” Depends on the definition of "terrorism" - doesn't it? "Terrorists" today, at least to America and her NATO partners, are anyone who fights their occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq. In other words, anyone who opposes American interests runs the risk of being labeled a "terrorist". Judging by the brutality of the American occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq, it is hard to envision that the "war on terror" is being fought within the line of human rights and the Council of Europe values.

“What are the values of Europe.” Here we will avoid mentioning the dark history of European colonialism and racism as central to the formation of European "values." Instead, let us focus "values" of Europe pos Cold War. What has Europe done for the world since the end of Cold War? Europe failed to stop the U.S war of aggression against Iraq, Europe aided and abided and still does the U.S extraordinary renditions, it became a conduit for the spread of new type of neocon driven xenophobia against Muslims, Europe finances the oppression of the Palestinians. So, what are "the values" of Europe that Russia is supposedly lacking? This term has been used on so many contexts by the spin doctors in Europe these days. So that despite Europe play to the marching orders of the United States in all matters pertaining to ME and rest of key global issues , we keep hearing about values of Europe. In this case of Russia, the aim is to bring Russia under the EU consensus "freedom" under American hegemony. If was funny how the term European "values" was used recently in the media when Turkey contested the murders of its citizens by the murderous state of Israel. Turkey was accused of moving away from the “Values of Europe.” Ask Africans and other people oppression and colonized by Europe and they will tell what real values of Europe are.

“European values” caused WW2 along with all its horrors, suffering and injustice. Out of that carnage a new element of European values emerged – an admitting of national guilt and national crimes, and the seeking of genuine reconciliation with the victims of national crimes. Germany has embraced these values, and as a result, is now a respected and trusted member of the European and world community, at peace with itself and its neighbours. Russia has not, and is not.

The difference between Germany (or any other EU country) is Russia has an independent politics while Germany hasn’t. All EU policies are made at the trilateral commission while Russian are made at Kremlin.

The more important difference between European and Russian policies, Stole, is not how they are made, but what they actually are.
