Moscow and Ankara have signed an agreement to cancel the visa regime between the two countries as President Dmitry Medvedev is on an official visit to Turkey to sign strategic deals.
It will be wonderful to be able to travel to and from Russia without the necessity of having a Visa, and be able to travel within Russia without having to register a Visa. Everything is possible and this just may be possible. Relations between england and Russia may warm with a new gvt in power in england instead of a bunch of money throwing idiots in order to win votes. Brown was no friend of Russia nor was his cabinet especially Milliband. Should Russia adopt a free travel policy this needs to be reciprocated by england, as very much the same thing is carried out for Russians wanting to come to england
Turkey shares with Russia the Eurasian character. Both are the link between Europe and Asia. Also it is important the great number of Turkic peoples in the former Russian Empire and USSR, and even inside the present Russian Federation, first of all the main minority: Tatars. So, probably Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Belarus, Kazakhstan and most Central Asian and Caucasian Republics will build a Common Market of 400 million people, which perhaps will include Iran also for geographical, economic and historical reasons....
I welcome the introduction of the visa-free regime between Russia and Turkey. This will create a great potential for development of business and tourism between the two countries. It is also a good example of how old rivals might turn into close partners. Getting a visa to Russia was expensive and burdenful before. I look forward to discovering non-fashionable cities of Russia this summer (e.g. Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Kazan, Ekaterinburg...). The two countries have a lot in common and should cooperate further. I hope a similar action also takes place soon between the EU and Turkey allowing the removal of the visa wall dividing the continent.
This visa free regimes are not good, becouse of islamic terorism and foreighner ideologies, trying to penetrate into Russia.
Great news! Congratulations Russia & Turkey. I've been in Turkey four times. Turkish people is so nice, friendly, warm and hospitable. No, I don't agree with Joseph Fischer here. You can't generalize a 71 million of people only because few of them were bad. They generally have nothing with terrorism or extreme Islamic ideologies. Turkish Republic is a secular, democratic country. I've also seen too many Turco-Russian families there in Turkey. They're happy and I'm glad of that. Best wishes.
Just take into account that income per head in Russia and Turkey is similar (around $10,000) so they can understand better the economic situation of citizens from the other natios. Other countries at a similar level of income are: Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Malaysia, Uruguay, Brazil and South Africa. Also some Eastern European membes of the E.U....but they depend on E.U. agreement.

Some months ago and also recently when President Medvedev was in Paris, the visa free travel between EU and Russia was a great subject. We heard about such an agreement for a long time. Who is sincere and who is not ? It will be honest for the many Europeans who will love to travel freely in Russia to know. Personally, I visit my friends in Orenburg, every year since 1997. Each year they must go through the whole invitation process; like it was in the Soviet times. Is not that ridiculous ! I suspect that the EU administrations holding the reciprocity argument are pressing hard on the "breaks". They know that when many French or British whose living is becoming more and more difficult will have discovered, as I did what Russia is becoming and what will be her future; they will all apply to move Eastward. It will be very difficult for all the mediocre French politicians and newsmen (often with the help of prostitute Russian dissidents) to admit that for so many years they have only spred nonsense concerning Russia. Best Regards...Jean-Claude Meslin
