In the interest of international and multinational peace, it is heartening to see a determination for cooperation between Russia and the array of nation states with which Russia enters into cooperative agreements for the export of natural gas from Russia to those states and to Europe. There is a place for military force to be applied, but not when cooperation is available as a means to resolve economic and political conflict. Russia is at its strongest in the Western nations and with the USA as well as Europe, in particular, when Russia is dialoguing on the political level of exchange about economic and military issues. Russia's military might is respected, but it is through political discussions that the freedom and peace of the world rely upon for world survival.
