Sarkozy battles General de Gaulle's NATO retreat

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has gone against the late General Charles de Gaulle’s decision in 1966 to remove France from NATO, but that move promises to be something of a public relations disaster.

I noticed that this forum was printed on March 16th and nobody sended any coment. On previous writing, I was rather very negative about Sarkozy. I accept the fact that 53% of the expressed voters elected him. Personnally, I made the "profil" of the candidat before the election (something the medias should have done. Unfortunatly they belong to those who fabricated that specimen). When, thinking about what Sarkozy is doing for the futur of the average french citizen; then I worry and express myself. This man is the most cynical, machiavelic comedian, that we have ever seen in french politic. Later, historians will have plenty to say about what could be the shamest period of french modern history He has used family members, friends, foes, former presidents (De Gaulle, Mitterrand, Chirac) to look credible. He has berned so many peoples to reach the summit and well studied the french psychology. It is so easer to fool the frenchs (tell them that they are the best in so many ways; they have the greatest social system in the World; they are the smartest creatures on Earth. Then, they will forget the two trillions € debts, the huge mental crisis and the growing misery). My people sadly remain me of what Julius Cesar was supposed to have said 2000 years ago: Governing idiots is so much easier than leading well educated peoples; the first ones do not ask questions. Very few frenchs; except emigrants, are bilingual; then don't expect many comments on that subjects. Sorry Future French Generations !!! Sincerely. Jean-Claude Meslin
