First I want to say that I am an advocate of Slavic unity, however I am strongly opposed to misusing this idea against other peoples! Any "Slavic unity with Russia" MUST NOT be directed against ANYONE in Europe or the world! I am NOT implying that Slovak president, whose admirer I am, thinks that "Slavic unity with Russia" is aimed against anyone, however I just felt to make myself clear what the idea of Slavic unity must not be. Slavs need unity and friendship with ALL peoples, especially European peoples, and not only amongst themselves! Second, the main reason why I have become promoter of Slavic unity has been PRESENT day interference into internal affairs of the Slavic peoples on part of the western imperialists - more precisely the NATURE of that interference! In the last 20 years the West has interfered in such a way that it tired to introduce quarrels, clashes and disputes between different Slavic peoples. The western policies (primarily German policy) contributed largely to bloody disintegration of Yugoslavia. However I see the same policies applied by the western imperialists in other Slavic countries! For example we all saw that EU politicians supported extreme Ukrainian nationalists who OPENLY and PUBLICLY spread hatred towards Russia. We saw that in 2004 when EU bureaucrats supported extreme nationalists in Ukraine and helped them organize the so called "orange revolution", which was essentially anti-Russian. However this is not surprise since the western imperialists did the same many times in the past! For example they did it in WW2 when Hitler and Mussolini destroyed and disintegrated Yugoslavia and later they installed fascist puppets who killed other Slavic peoples (e.g. Ante Pavelich who killed Serbs). Hitler used the same tactics in occupied parts of USSR where he supported fascists and nationalists (e.g. Stepan Bandera who killed Poles). My support to the Slavic unity idea comes exclusively as a REACTION to the PRESENT day western policies!

Balkansky medved :-) Well first off, anything like "Slavic unity" is turned by the west into Russian Imperialism (which was in the late days of the Empire) History repeats itself, we as part of the EU are still second-rate "Europeans". What they call european is western, not universal and they force us indirectly/directly accept their culture and hypocritical low moral standards. Their media brainwash our folks, although older people sre not easily manipulated about brighter tomorrows...The west is your friend only because hes gonna get huge profit from you and after you are too expensive, youre no longer needed, but your economy is destroyed because of protectionists in the west, glorious thievery AKA privatisation...your countrymen wont get any of it...only westerners because of bribes. while giving you harder to fulfill criteria. Usual western hypocrisy. There are always such few who hate what they came from, these are westerners agents who believe are doing good thing...but such is the fate of traitors. The westerners puppets are laying foundations for war in Europe. It smells like bankers willing to destroy dollars adversary, the €, while for politicians, it might seem good, divide et impera, after the EU disintegration, which is at work. It wouldnt be a war in Europe without Russia or her allies bleeding. Because let us face it - they want resources, but no adversary. What EU politicians fail to see, is that once war will come, they will hardly be able to channel it only to the East, as they tried with Hitler. Slavic unity means friendship and good relations not by just words, its just because we are brothers and sisters. Our cultures are much closer than any other group. In the EU, bureaucrats from Slavic countries speak their native languages and no translation is needed, that is what they envy us. That is also why they are afraid of us - should we be united. That is why there is all this russophobic propaganda. Dont you think?

There should be Slavic unity from the Balkans to Kamchatka as my late Father often said. Where has disunity brought any good?
