Who would trust them? There an be a comparison in central Europe to all this: 1918 marked the end of Austro-Hungary. From the moment, the Hungarian´nation´ calling themselves Magyars did not accept being defeated and lost their territories, mostly those where were very few or none Magyar-language speakers. Before that decades before a very strong magyarisation commenced, oppressing non-Magyars really bad. They feel to this day that they were wronged, never counting on themselves any wrong. However, what remained´Magyar´or what nomads of the middle ages did was strive for constant conflict to kill and loot. First they were those who came here and no one kill them because theyre different. In late middle ages they became inventing history of not a Hungarian nation (multinational, multicultural), but a nation of Magyars, who conquered (?) the lands instead of making a new state as a continuation of Great Moravia. Now to get a thousand years later, they again want (after creation of Magyar nation, who genetically are 5% old Magyars - according to their own statistics) whats not theirs. After WW1, they just attacked forming Czechoslovakia, trying to better their position at the table where borders were created. Right before WW2 they attacked us (with Nazi backing) because no other nation is so open to open game in politics- nothing is constant. There were instances of Magyar flyers bombing our civilians pre-WW2 (Horthi) and they were given national heroes awards in Magyar communist regime. Now you see, nothing changed and they were punished too little unlike Germans were. No wonder they were so aggressive (the west supported them, and called it a democratic movement LoL) and so chauvinist. But after Soviets taught them a lesson, they knew to shut up. But now with their master in the US, anything can be made. For example former premier-minister of Magyar republic Ferenc Gyurcsány year ago said of Jobbik party - to be irrelevant. Now Nazis are in EU parliament...
