As a mater of fact the confusion is in big picture concept. Kokoshin says: “We defeated Nazism and saved mankind, and we have every right to have our deterrent forces, nuclear forces, and non-nuclear forces.” Who is “we”? If only Nazism was defeated (being the amount to save the mankind), who defeated Germany? How did Russians ever succeed to make such fascinating dynamic selection during the WW 2?

Interesting article, very good questions and the answers were simple but very clear a very down to earth, I think Russia will never give up there nuclear capability this is the hope to contra-rest the abuses of the US around the world, that's why I'm very hopeful about the compromises that Venezuela and Russia signed in ST,Petersburg last friday about energy a technological and educational and military means, all this have a loop and that's why I'm writing this words. President Medvedev send a proposal to parliament asking the parliament to authorizing the Russian forces to be deployed out side Russian borders to protect Russian interest around the globe and to defend a third country who may be attacked by a third state, why I'm telling you this, is simple, the US and Colombia singed an agreement to let the US military to use some military bases in that country because Ecuador cancel the contract to the US they have been using a base in Ecuador for long time but the president Correa cancel this for good, that means no more US forces in that country, so they, the US found a replacement and they found the perfect gay, Mr Alvaro Uribe this is far right thinker and a paramilitary gay no good news for Latin America, so some countries in Latin America are aware of this kind of agreements, UNASUR is like NATO in Latin America and they are very preoccupied about all this agreements with Colombia so,I think that's why President Medvedev send the requirement to the parliament last week for Russian forces can be deployed to protect their interest in other countries, is very interesting what kind of devolvement is going on in geopolitics around here in Latin America and I think the US will not think for second to attack any country in Latin America specially Venezuela they will regret this, and that's why Russia will never give up its deterrent forces. Thank you Best regards from Guatemala

Imperial American with its Nato alliance, for quite many years, coveted the Russian Land and its resources, {BUT} regardless ALL their efforts,Plots,Lies,Deceit, and all armaments, the Russian Federation{IS}, and will continue standing ready,to answer any provocation,or Adventure, against its enemies.I am quiet sure Russia has,and always have a good surprise, when needed,to confront and take good care of its enemies.

Russians would be realy mad if they gave up their nuclear weapons... As long as USA exists and plans for world domination, giving up nuclear weapons equals surrendering the whole planet to USA and NAziTO.

Russians see America as an enemy. Americans couldn't care enough about Russia to consider it an enemy. You're not as important as you think you are.

The United States is the most warlike nation on earth with vast defence spending. Imagine the danger if a hill billy redneck became president the economy will become even more unstable. The rest of the world needs to arm up quickly , unfortunately, to protect ourselves against them. I am british and feel that we should distance ourselves from the US and concentrate on having a truly independant nuclear force. We are in the same position as we were in the 30s with the threat of nazi germany Russia needs to be strong.

Russia does not have to worry about the USA. The USA is chasing ghost in the middle east, it's economy is crumbling, 49 million in poverty, 14 trillion in debt oopps its more already, the chinese and other's will soon stop buying the USA's debt (notice the gold price is climbing rapidly as the dollar declines) then the USA will not be able to pay for it's war machine. When foreign nations stop buying the USA's debt the Fed. Reserve will start to buy it. But it too will go bank rupt and this bank is owned by the Bank of International Settlements (BIS) which in turn is run by the vatican and german elites. Who (the germans) incidently bought huge amounts of gold in the early 2000's while the UK sold off two thirds of there's. So the USA will be owned by germany(Europen Union) along with their military and nuclear asrenals. Mmmmm scary. Who do we really need to watch and be weary of ???...
