Some success had been reached recently in fighting terrorism in the North Caucasus, but it is clear the work has not been completed yet, analysts believe.
Could the attacked organized in Georgia, the seem to have axe to grind with Moscow,
We have to look at how the soviet system has in the past successfully control terrorist, some of the old methods although crude, can save many lives. Sometimes we have to forgone some liberty for betterment of many.
Dear Srbin, Who could have benefited most from a terrorist attack? The own goverment obviously!!! Let's think: I don't know when in the last 20 years a terrorist group would ever have won a cause by terrorist attacks. Those commiting the crimes directly might be stupid, but the anti-Russian Caucasian warlord-organisers of the terrorist attacks are surely not. They know that terrorism will just make them look evil in the world community and even amongst their own. But the goverment has a lot gain by terrorist attacks intimidating its population. This way it can rally the population behind any domestic (e.g. Patriot Act, tightened transport contols) or foreign policy (the occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq). It's called the "besieged fortess" strategy. I admitt that the involvement of the US in terrorist attacks on Russian soil to create ethnic instability is a possibity, but it is by far less likely than the terrorists acting without the involvement of the US. Do you really think that Russia and the USA are so different in that respect? Please understand that, when politicians and businessmen concerned, the world consists only of two things: power and money...

Who benefits by creating instability in Russia? These entities help, support train and equip the terrorist who attack Russia, they also refer to them as "separatists", "rebels" one German media outlet called them "liberation army of Caucuses". Enemies of Russia are waging a proxy war designed to further weaken and prevent Russia from moving forward.
