It is of course many factors that play in on the population growth of a country, as mentioned in this article, but people cannot be so blind that they dont see how overpopulation is a problem for our earth. Even if one dont believe in global warming (mostly US republicans...), one got to see that a world population of nearly 10 billion will be catastrophic for nature, and a big share of such a large population will be condemned to live in poverty. In fact, I believe the current world population should be drastically reduced trough propaganda and laws in each world state, as well as education on the issue and easy access to birth prevention all over the world. A world population between 500-1000 million would be good, for humanity and nature. I`m not religious, but it seems as people have taken the message in the so called holy books, about beeing fertile and filling the world, waaaay to literaly^^

It appears the flashlight shining on the too many people problem is a distraction from the high beam flooding on the transnational corporations and the owners or call them shareholders, global investors and therefore "globalism." Globalism is the tap root problem to every manufactured terrorism on the planet - horror, shame, cannibalism, mass murder, etc. ALL PAY and "high on the hog" is an old saying. Population control should depend on whether the country in question really needs to reduce it's population. Many countries cannot handle their current population and should do like China and limit the number of children their women are permitted to have. Other countries, like Russia, should encourage their women to have more children to help populate the country. A country like India where there is extreme poverty and an underclass should limit the number of children women can have on an equal basis, not economic status. The peasant should have the same rights as the millionaire so far as the number of children they can have. Otherwise, strict birth control will be imposed upon the poor and the wealthy will be allowed to have as many children as they want.
