It is good to know that Yulia Timoshenko is afforded the ability to challenge the results of the election in court. This is a good reflection of Ukraine's system of government. No country should allow allegations of fraud and falsefications in their elections without due process to determine the whole truth of the matter. It will be very interesting to hear/see all the details of these allegations.

This is terrible news for Ukraine there was no Fraud involved in the vote according to International observers that viewed this election as wholesomely good. It's also a shame that Yulia Timoshenko has taken this to the court, Yulia has gone to far and the outgoing President Vikor Yuschenko said appointing Timoshenko was a big mistake in his five years in office, as the "Orange Revolution" Started Timoshenko complained about fraud then and doing it now, I think it's Timoshenko is the one that is doing fraud herself and should be checked out by Ukrainian authorities. Just when Ukraine was beginning its progress is so unfortunate that someone has to ruin it, this is not right Ukraine has suffered too much in their Post-Soviet time's they need progress but what Yulia is doing is going back to the horrible times of misfortune and poverty. I just want Ukraine to prosper for once and for all, Yulia you're not helping.

it's difficult for democracy to prevail in Ukraine, because when you fail in ballot box, then you call for yellow revolution and when you fail again in ballot box you call the court.

The fascist-nationalist Western Ukrainian orange gang did not respect the will of the people when they were in power, i.e. attempt to drag the nation into NATO despite polls indicating 65% of Ukrainians are against membership; heroization of Bandera and other fascists; repression of the Russian language; persecution of the Orthodox Church; etc. What makes anyone think that they will respect the results of this presidential election? Tymoshenko and her cronies realize that the handwriting is on the wall and will fight tooth and nail to hold on to power. They lied about election rigging 5 years ago, and they are lying now. Western and CIS observers found no problems with the elections. If the election results are voided by the Ukrainian Supreme Cour there is a good chance for a civil war in Ukraine. Mikhail

Ukrainians, such a culturally divided people will not have rest until they are unite in one country. Every European country has his own regionalisms and different cultural heritage within, but Ukraine is made of two different populations with different language, religion, genetics and history. That country should be split in two so each part can choose its own path without hampering the other. More over forced ukrainization can lead only to a civil war in a democratic environment based on human rights. The Eastern part should join the R-B Union and the Western the EU ans NATO (if accepted). The history taught that there is no other political solution.
