Venezuela’s recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia shows distance from Washington and may encourage others to follow, says Kirill Koktysh, political analyst from Moscow State University of International Relations.
I agree, now that Chavez has recognized Abkhazia and Sout Oseetia it will clear the way for the rest of Europe. Thanks GOD we have leaders like Putin and Chavez leading the world in "independent" thought.
It is irrelevent and a very negative thing for the so called "PRESIDENT FOR LIFE OF VENEZUELA" to endorse or favor anything. It detracts from any legitimacy of a country, to have a little self appointed dictator {maximum leader} for life, endorse their agenda.
All states should be free to recognise or not. The ability of Venezuela to recognise, definitely shows a confidence and an ability to think for theselves. It does show that they are free from Washington's sphere of influence and military grip. Russia can certainly play a part in freeing up more of the Latin American region from the US mastership. Freedom for these countries, from Washington's aggressive and controlling stance, will allow them to develop on their own paths and also allow them to enable others to do so as well. Latin America has so much to offer the world, freeing itself of Washington's interference is an essential step to allow all the countries of the region to enjoy prosperity and freedom. Russia needs to act as an enabler here.
