This is a very important military exercise for Russia, the United States and Canada. It would be great to see the best fighter jets in the world working together. This is truly a historical event. This is a step forward in cooperative efforts to combat terrorism in the future. I am very proud of all of the countries participating in the exercise. Thanks President Medvedev, President Obama,and Prime Minister Stephen Harper!

Is this some kind of a joke, or America is luring Russia into a trap to analyse the capabilities of Russian aircraft in order to have an advantage for a possible future hostilities. Russia cannot have a close partnership relation with Canada and America for as long as they work together to destroy Russia with hostile NATO encirclement still in the planning.

While the US is in a full swing deploying missiles shield in Turkey or Bulgaria, Russia is naively participating in a joint training exercise with America?!? Wake up Russia, America is not your friend!

Good that the US and Russian jet fighters are working together!! That is in all likelihood their last joint mission. What I have in mind is a prophecy of Baba Vanga that the WWIII is going to be launched in November 2010. In the remaining two months or so both Air Forces (the US and Russian) will have enough time to analyse what they have learned about the other side during the joint mission. Therefore, from the purely professional point of view this joint exercise was absolutely necessary for both AFs.

To all of the conspiracy nuts- no this joint mission was not to see who has what. We both know already who has what and what that aircraft can do. The point of this mission was to see how we can work effectively tackling a terror threat that worries both nations.This joint military exercise was very important. It's time to stop the Cold War thinking and think about our common enemy - the terrorists. It is vital to Russia, United States & Canada's national security that we work together as a team on this threat.

I welcome this cooperation...In my opinion natural things for me will be when Everithing from Canada to far East in Russia become one camp.. World trend clearly show that others to (Asia,Africa etc.) move in this direction. The main problem really is that the US continues to kidnap people around the world... they call it rendition. They also finance the Pakistani ISI which created and continues to support the Taleban. The real problem is that when they operate together to fight terrorism it will be only against those the US considers terrorists. Killers of children in schools and theatres and hospitals will be ignored or even given asylum, while Russian citizens will be kidnapped and illegally sent to the US to face trial on charges that are created in the US. Should have been an excellent opportunity for the Russian aircraft to check the signature of the US F-22s on their IRST sensors. (Both the Flanker and Foxhound have such sensors BTW).

I am not Russian- I am from West...True fact is (it was shown on TV in Australia some years ago and also is a well known fact from history) that Russian pilots and not soldiers on ground (China soldiers fight Usa and all the rest of the world there) did endeed face your pilots.... In the film was Few Russian pilots(include one which I mentioned) who openly tall about their duty in this war. Also, few Usa pilots(4 of them on film), who survive all of this where talking about almost 40 years of protest and letters send to Usa governments and presidents to find out what really happend to all of this prisoners but goverment never do anything about that! Film did show Usa pilots, protesting in front of white house about this issue...To add on all of this, A Usa general(McNamara I think) and hero from WW2 said that he will drop nuc.bombs on China in public but Rusvelt (after talk with Russia) remove him from post and come on TV to say Usa citizens that Usa do not wish to have nuclear war with Russia so he have to remove general!
