Moscow is determined to fight and stop terror, said President Medvedev during a meeting with the acting president of the Republic of Ingushetia Rashid Gaisanov.
“Recently we have done a good job fighting militants who are hiding in forests. Around twenty of them have been killed. We should intensify this effort as we must scorch them out of there,” pressed President Medvedev.
The situation in the Republic of Ingushetia has recently become more intense.
There have been a number of terrorist attacks, including one targeting the President of the Republic.
Ingush president Yunus-Bek Yevkurov is now in a Moscow hospital after being critically injured by a suicide bomber.
