So, let me get this straight, the Ukrainian government and people now HATE the USA and the Americans? Okay, I say, Let Father Russia("All Roads Lead to Russia") support the Ukraine and her people. Let Putin lower gas prices, wipe away debt and signa 1000+ years agreement on stationing the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea. ANY US Politician who votes to fund the Ukraiain people or Government with $1.00 then I say, "GET OUT OF OFFICE"! This is just LOVELY! Next is Georgia and Burjandadze and I say to America, STOP supporting these ungrateful regimes and spend the US Taxpayers money on its own roads and bridges.

As an American, I believe it's in the best interest of Ukraine to mend ties with Russia who is their brother and friendly neighbor. The U.S. only uses smaller nations like Ukraine and others to build upon their global empire and nothing more. I am glad to see Russia growing stronger by the day because it is one of the few nations left that can keep balance in the world. The U.S. has become an arrogant, aggressive, self serving country that only wants to take, take,take....I hope the strong leadership in Russia under Prime Minister Putin keeps a watchful eye on the U.S. military adventures around the world. I used to be a proud American, but have become disgusted with my nation's greed for money, world power and sense of entitlement. I hope Ukraine's future will be bright under their new President as they deserve it. President Yanukovich is taking a step in the right direction becoming sincere partner with Russia. A united Russia/Ukraine is a powerhouse

Sierra Nevada, what are you talking about? Name me at least ONE bridge or one road built in Ukraine for money of U.S. taxpayers, please. What? USA was paying for Ukrainian gas all this time? Or maybe it provided Ukraine with enough money to serve the debt? There is nothing to be grateful to the USA for. You just used both Georgia and Ukraine in your disgraceful politics. Of course, I have no dobt that CNN used to tell you the completely different story.

Sierra Nevada Are you naive enough to believe that your decisions-makers (politicians and businessmen) care about the American people or any other people. They have a cash-register instead of brain and know that money, automatically bring power. To make you feel better, know that it is the same in most other countries...Sorry Future Generations ! Sincerely... Jean-Claude Meslin

Sierra Nevada, could you imagine how poor the Ukraine country is! All the bridges and roads were built during the "Soviet regime" (as you say -regime), and now they are collapsing. Democracy or not democracy - people need to live better.

Roads and bridges in the USA, not in the Ukraine! I do not want the US Taxpayer from giving $1.00 to the "new" President who has made his feelings known to the USA much to the chagrin of Putin!

Hey Guys ... remember, the Soviet-era was a 70 yr blip on the radar screen, the Kievan Russ (Ukraine, Belarus, Russia) share a common historic language of 1200 yrs and Tsarist Russian Empire that goes back 500 yrs. Alaska was part of the Russian Empire (remember) ... we bought it from them after the Civil War. So just worry about NorthAm and get out of their biz (we have spent much, too much time there meddling in the Post-Soviet Space since 1990).
