Of course Poland has links with the Chechens, it was running subversion there prior to WW2 as part of its geopolitical games, the same games it played with the Munich pact joining the UK et al. which were designed to win land fro Poland and get Hitler to agree to the southern corridor to attack the SU, with the prize of Ukraine's and Rostov's gardens coupled with the Caspian oil. Trouble was Hitler wasn't going to share anything with Poland, especially the prize of Moscow. Having said that though, Poland is to be applauded today in trying to stick to international law and its obligations under it. Appearing finally to realise that terrorism is not a tool, but a scourge of society. But they could go further and issue a European warrant for his arrest, such a warrant would be difficult for the UK to stop. If they did this, then it would signal whether this is all genuine, or just a telegraphing to the terrorist not to come.

this is great test case for Poland to show both its foreign policy independence and mark Russia-Poland "reset" bilateral relations.

Should also point out that the world Chechen congress and every other Chechen organisation and other separatists favourable to US/British (Bosnians, Kosovar Albanians, Uyghers, Tibetans, etc) interests is financed and created the National Endowment for Democracy, who also finances the Other Russia political coalition opposition in Russia is a notorious CIA/MI6 front. This is the exact same thing as prior to 1917 when we were hosting Marxist terrorist conferences in the Czech Rep, London, etc. Russia off course for reason that escapes me could detail and highlight the Chechens connection to international terrorism debunking the Al Qaeda myth and that all the major terrorist attacks in Europe and the US are offshoot of this western intelligence created international terror network created by NATO and allied Muslim states mainly in the 90’s starting with our adventure in the Balkans. I detailed in my unfinished USC post which according to French and later by domestic US intelligence that the 9/11 hijacking was organised by Bin Ladin, Khattab and Chechen and Taliban leaders in 2000 in Afghanistan to hijack US planes land them and demand to release of jihadists from US prisons and Russian withdrawal from Chechnya in cooperation with US and British intelligence and military. But Bin Ladin recruited the pilots unknown to the terrorist cells on a secret suicide mission for which 9/11 suicide attacks happened. http://www.network54.com/Forum/84302/thread/1284248981/last-1284609675/The+real+9-11+cover+up-+Political+hijacking++was+originally+aimed+at+Russia.

Why hasn't Russia created a world Tesek congress describing their historic role in the Caucasus which Northern Chechnya was Tesek territory until the late 50’s or 60’s when Khrushchev incorporated it into Chechnya and the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Tesek Cossacks or at least debunk atrocity stories or ever changing death toll that are the same as those now debunked against the Serbs in the Balkans that fuel the insurgency. @Count Cash Think pre WW1 Marxist terrorism not WW2 and that it is hosted in Poland does not really matter it is the organisations that are behind them like Jacob Schiff, Warburgs and others were behind Marxist groups. I am sure Poland has lots of pressure from Britain and the US as well as phoney human rights groups like MI6 Amnesty International and George Soros Human Rights Watch. Anne Applebaum will probably be there.

johnx, I agree that there are other groupings that have and are pulling the strings in an orchestrated manner, at various times against Russia and whilst Poland is used in as a pawn in this game. I personally think that it is a little more complex, I think Poland whilst being manipulated, still has an 'independent' geopolitical nationalistic agenda of its own. I am not saying there is anything wrong with this latter agenda, all countries have it. The difference is that Poland in the past, and some say even now, is using terrorism and subversion both as part of its position as a pawn and also as part of its geopolitical agenda. It is the use of terrorism and subversion that Poland has used, which is the part that is unacceptable and is against international law. Poland needs to step away from this, if it wants to fullfill its legitimate geopolitical agenda without invoking another major conflict.

This is a step forward. It's not huge but it's something. Russia faces enormous challenges, especially in constructing a fully functioning internal society, one which makes best use of the great, innate talent of ordinary Russians, but the potential is huge. Small steps like this, which see Russia receive some of the respect it deserves, are a step forward. Potentially, depending on what happens, Russia is massively more important than the western European countries, and the USA, all of which are terminally bankrupt.

Hi guys! Missed me? Of course Poland used terrorism before - Russia did it pretty well also. Do You need some examples? Regarding Zakayev case - EU pressed Poland to let him go. Cant blame Poland for that - Moscow should send complaints to their best friends - Berlin, Paris and London.

September 17, 2010, 11:20, Count Cash wrote The difference is that Poland in the past, and some say even now, is using terrorism and subversion both as part of its position as a pawn and also as part of its geopolitical agenda. huh, Maybe I have misunderstood something. But what the hell kind of terrorism Poland is using nowadays in its policy, I can't understand. Subversion - I suppose, you mean Ukraine. Poland didn't evoked any subversion in Ukraine. The subversion in Ukraine was caused by following internal and external factors: 1. too open Putin's support for Yanukovich,2. too many Yanukovich in Ukrainian state media,3. too many Yushchenko in Ukrainian private media, 4. russophobia of western Ukrainians and their emotions on that which infected more Ukrainians, 5. falsifications during presidential elections. Poland didn't have any influence on that factors. The only Polish role was that Polish President convinced his friend Kuchma to not to use force against Yushchenko's supporters, and to solve the problem in a democratic and legal way. Of course many Poles spontaneously (including certain politicians) supported the Yushchenko faction (what was a mistake), becuase they believed, they support such values like freedom, transparency of the authority, democracy. But the subversion was done, they only used an occasion to stay behind one side.
