Davydenko defends Kremlin Cup to complete Russian double

Russia’s Nikolay Davydenko has defended his Kremlin Cup crown with a straight-sets win over Paul-Henri Mathieu. This is the the first title the world number four has won this season.

Davydenko broke his French opponent in game 5 of the opening set. The top-seeded Russian went on to win the set 7-5.
 
In the second set, Mathieu forced a tie-break, but Davydenko finally managed to secure the title on his fourth matchpoint, beating Mathieu 11-9 in the tiebreak to win the set 7-6.
