Russia’s Mikhail Youzhny is moving closer to qualifying for the end of season Masters Cup in Shanghai, by winning through to the quarter finals of the Paris Masters event.

The world number 18 beat Tommy Hass in the third round to win 6:4, 1:6, 6:3.

Youzhny will need to be at his best against world number two, Rafael Nadal, who stands in front of him and a place in the semi-finals.
