Tennis: Russia’s Tursunov wins Sydney International

Dmitry Tursunov has become the first Russian to secure the Sydney International title with victory over wildcard Chris Guccione.
A tight match saw Tursunov take the opening set after a typically long baseline rally.
The clash – the first Sydney final between two unseeded players since 2000 – may have only lasted two sets, but the spectators certainly got their money's worth.
Some superb first serve returns paved the way for another tie break win in the second for the world number 32 – and with it the championship.
Fourth ATP title for Tursunov is an ideal preparation as he seeks to do similar a little further south in Melbourne from Monday – at the Australian Open.
