Russian immigrants support Clinton

The United States is home to a large and politically active community of ethnic Russians, many of whom left their home country during Soviet times. They keenly exercise their right to vote, though often cast their ballots for the same candidate, and it seems this time Hillary Clinton is their favourite.
The Russian immigrants in the Boston community are known for their politcal savvyness and, more importantly, voting in a bloc. Voter turnout in Boston’s Brighton neighbourhood is high and their opinion is valued.
A great number of the nearly 500 Russian-Jewish immigrants that live at the Jewish community housing for the elderly have cast their ballots for Hillary Clinton, whom they see as an experienced and responsible politician.
“Me and my husband, we decided to vote for Hillary Clinton. It seems to me that her husband would be the best counsellor for her,” says Alla Roginskaya.
“For me the only option is Hillary Clinton. She's is someone with experience and dignity,” says another voter, Aleksandr.
An estimated 80,000 Russian immigrants live in Massachusetts and the so-called “Russian vote” is highly sought after.
The economy, support for Israel and national security are some issues on the minds of these Russian voters as they head to the polls.
But the Russian voting block isn't only unified, it's strong. In the last decade this constituency has gained enough power to swing elections in Boston and throughout Massachusetts. So in this tight presidential race where every ballot counts the support of this community might be crucial for any candidate.
