`Alchemists` reveal new age secrets

Alchemy is still much in demand in this century of high technology. The Alchemy Fair has opened in Moscow's International Exhibition Center Crocus Expo. It has nothing to do with making gold out of stones, but it does offer some formulas for physical and emotional harmony.

The first Alchemy Fair in Moscow offers plenty of ways to enhance your life style and learn to harmonise your mind, body and soul. Its motto is 'Quality as a Way of Life'.

“In ancient times alchemists were trying to convert quicksilver into gold, and we are trying to convert everyday life into a festival,” explained Aleksey Voronin, Alchemy Fair organiser.

Reaching harmony between your physical power and mind, feeling the connection with your rival, moving to the beats of traditional music – these are the opportunity the fair offers.

'Alchemy of taste'

While some guests at the Fair plunged into the 'alchemy of the body', others preferred to master the 'alchemy of taste'. One of the organisers, a researcher of ethnic cultures, Ben Chelero, shared with guests his art of consuming whisky. A real alchemist of the 21st century, Chelero has got to know the philosophy of whisky.

“The most mellow sorts of whisky can help you to reach certain transformations discovered by ancient Celts which are based on the secret of immortality,” Ben Chelero, organiser, said.

Those, who didn't feel harmonised by alcoholic drinks, could enjoy genuine Chinese tea.

“Tea is catalyst, which lets us change our common state of fuss, and convert into another state. This is real alchemy, the miraculous transformation,” Aleksandr Kshennikov, tea master, believes.
