Coens dominate 80th Oscars

The rich and glamourous gathered for the 80th Oscars ceremony at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. The Coen Brothers' 'No Country for Old Men' was nominated for eight Oscars and took home the Best Picture award, along with three others.
The Coens’ movie also won the award in the best director category as well as best supporting actor (Javier Bardem), and best adapted screenplay.
Daniel Day-Lewis won his second Oscar for his leading role in 'There will be Blood' while Marion Cotillard won the award for best actress for her part in the Edith Piaf biopic 'La Vie en Rose.'
The Best Foreign Language Film went to the Austrian Holocaust-era drama 'The Counterfeiters.' Two works by Russian directors were also nominated in the category.
Sergey Bodrov's 'The Mongol' alongside Nikita Mikhalkov’s film '12' was vying for the golden statuette.
Earlier, Oscar-winner the Russian animator Aleksandr Petrov's who's 'My Love' cartoon was up for best short animated film lost the award to the British production 'Peter & the Wolf.'
