Hunters in the Siberian region of Kemerovo say they’ve encountered furry humanoid creatures on several occasions. An expedition will try to find and identify them.

The sightings of the unknown creatures took place near the Azass Cave in the Tashtagol area. Hunters describe them as vaguely human but closer to a bear.

“They are bulky and resemble some kind of a brown bear from distance. They are 1.5 to 2 metres high and have black or red fur all over the body,” cites a description from Interfax news agency.

Local authorities plan to send an expedition to the cave this summer to check the rumours. Doing it now is impossible since the land is covered with thick snow. Scientists from a local university will probably take part in the search.
