Springtime is when people in Russia (and across the former Soviet Union) gather to celebrate sending the first man into space. For the second edition of Technology Update, host Paul Tadich joins in the celebrations. We travel to Kaluga, home of Konstantin Tsiolkovsky – the Russian father of cosmonautics who designed rockets and space stations more than a hundred years ago. We travel to Star City to find out how to train to become a cosmonaut in Russia’s space tourism program. Finally, we travel to Pyatigorsk, in the northern Caucasus, to witness a revolution in small-craft aviation.
