What’s driving the China-Japan island dispute? Is it about geopolitical issues? Domestic nationalism? A resource grab? The US says it is pivoting to the Pacific – is this part of a strategy to contain China? Is Japan being assertive because it can count on Washington's support? And is a win-win solution possible? CrossTalking with Shihoko Goto, Andrew Leung and Linh Dinh.

America gets drawn into conflicts on humanitarian or security grounds much like the British did before WW2. When USA or the west does not act, holocausts and tragedies happen Usa's main error may be in thinking that giving people the freedom to vote, is the answer to world peace and freedom. USA has erred greatly in having the Cold war overly affect it's foreign policy: as in being too militaristic in Vietnam and not supporting Britain when Egypt stole the Suez canal, but hopefully the cold war mistakes are behind. The trash talking against Usa that is found here is not constructive.
